Unlike other countries, Thailand's mother's day is on September 12th of every years. So, what should we present to our dearest mom to represent the love we have for her? To me, handmade gift is still one best thing we can do.
Here are 5 ideas for you guys to create some gifts to your mom.

1.Traditional Mother's Day Card การ์ดวันแม่
A card is more than just a paper card when you put some details on it. To make it more special than a simply home-printed photo on A4 paper, I used basic stitching and crochet skills to decorate this card. Make sure the your paper is a little bit thick, maybe more than 200 grams. Use sharp edge pin to avoid making wrinkle on paper.
การ์ดก็จะเป็นมากกว่าแค่การ์ดกระดาษข้นมาทันที แค่เราเติมลูกเล่นลงไปบ้าง ตัวการ์ด เราก็แค่ปริ้นออกมา แต่เราตกแต่งด้วยเทคนิกการเย็บผ้าแบบง่าย และการถักโครเชแบบเบื้องต้น เย็บและถักลงไปบนกระดาษ กระดาษที่ไช้ควรจะหนามากกว่า 200 แกรมขึ้นไป และเวลาเย็บควรใช้เข็มหัวแหลม เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงการทำกระดาษยับนะคะ
2. Bought a gift? Then make it more special! ซื้อของขวัญให้? มาทำให้มันพิเศษขึ้นดีกว่า
Of course, not that we can do everything,
but we can make it more special. We ordered this
Pomegranate tree model for our mom which is believed it is a good fortune to have it. My sister gave the shop her handmade ceramic bowl to put the tree in, and I made little blue birds to add up the decoration.
We also hang little signs where we wrote our wishes to mom.
แน่นอนว่าเราคงไม่สามารถทำของขวัญทุกชิ้นด้วยตัวเอง แต่เราสามารถทำให้ของขวัญดูพิเศษขึ้นมาได้ พวกเราสั่งให้ที่ร้านทำต้นทับทิมจำลอง ที่คนนิยมซื้อให้กันเพราะถือว่าเป็นต้นไม้มงคล พี่สาวจึงเอาถ้วยซรามิกที่ตัวเองทำไปให้ร้านใส่ เราก็ปั้นนกสีฟ้า แต่งเพิ่มเข้าไป และก็ทำป้ายเล็กๆ ห้อยไว้ตามกิ่ง ให้ทุกคนเขียนคำอวยพรให้กับคุณแม่ สามารถเอาตั้งไว้ที่โต๊ะ เวลามองก็จะเห็นคำพูดดีดีๆได้ตลอด
3. Frame your love on the wall. แขวนไว้ข้างฝาเลย
Get a big beautiful frame, write anything you want to tell your mom. By hanging on the wall, every time she passes by, she will be able to see and read them all the time, not just when she unpacks the boxes in storage.
