Coins scattering in ordination ceremony has a meaning that the person who do it will leave all wealth behind since it is no longer needed in monk status. Nowadays the family will do ribbon decoration cover the coins to make them as souvenirs for those who come to the ceremony. As the time pass by, things get more creative, so does the coins scattering ceremony.
小銭を投げることは、その人がお坊さんになるからお金がもう要らないということを意味します。現在では、儀式に来るお客のために、お坊さんになる人の家族は綺麗なリボンで小銭を飾って、プレゼントとしてあげます。
